Alice Morton began her career in nursing over 40 years ago, working as a registered nurse in a small rural New York hospital. Over the years she continued her education, while still working and raising a family, to achieve her ultimate goal of becoming a nurse educator. Recently retired after spending 20 years as an instructor at a community college in Western New York, Alice decided to fill some of her newly free time by starting a blog designed to inform those interested in pursuing a career in nursing about their educational options, career prospects and all the ways they can find help financing a nursing degree.
As a nurse educator Alice knows all to well how a nursing shortage impacts the lives of everyone in a community, as well as just how rewarding a career in nursing can be. With Nursing Programs USA Alice is making it her new mission to encourage as many men and women as possible to find a way to answer the call and join the ranks of the caring professionals who work in all kinds of settings as nurses.
